Breakfast Birthday Party with Brox

Description

Breakfast with Brox was the theme of my son's 2nd birthday party. We hosted the breakfast birthday party at a local park and served homemade breakfast goodies.

Design Inspiration

I knew I wanted to use blue gingham so I started with that pattern and kept everything else very simple and neutral tones.

Decorating Style

Traditional and vintage. I like to use pieces that I already have around the house to give the party a mismatched rustic feel.

Centerpieces-I filled mason jars with cereal and added the cute cut outs that I ordered from Etsy

Table clothes-I ordered blue gingham fabric and had my grandmother sew it into table clothes.  Then I added craft paper so I could label the food with a chalk pen

Party favors-wooden spoons tied to mini cereal boxes along with roll up blankets

Rise and Shine Pictures-I snapped some pictures of my son one morning with his crazy bed head while he was eating breakfast. We attached them to burlap canvases and attached magnetic letters

 

 

Favorite Items

My favorite item was the chalkboard sign. I just love that it captures everything about my son. I also love the traditional czech Kolaches that we made with my grandmother. I like having special details like that to make the party unique

Advice

I would say look around at what you already have then build upon that with special pieces like the chalkboard sign and banners. Etsy is your best friend. Also parties take a lot of work, I could not have done it without the help of my family.
