Baby Boy’s Nursery

Description

I spent a lot of time thinking about how I wanted to do our little man's nursery. I was trying to steer clear of a "theme". Instead, I played around with colors, while keeping the base color a modern gray. I'm thrilled with the results!

Design Inspiration

My bedding was one of the first purchases I made. It was "The Morning Zoo" bedding from the Land of Nod. I carried a swatch of it around in my purse for months. Once I chose that, the rest seemed to fall into place.

Decorating Style

Modern and clean. Typically, I tend to overly match items. I really tried to avoid doing that when putting together his nursery.

Favorite Items

The bedding. Like I mentioned, once I chose that, the rest fell into place. I also like the different color we used in the closet. It's subtle, but makes for a nice contrast.

Advice

I used Project Nursery quite a bit in the beginning stages. Having some sort of visual really helped me identify my style and the type of nursery I wanted to create. I think having one piece to work around really helps, too. Also, try to avoid matching too much; it can be stressful! Random pops of color are really fun and liven up the room.

This is the most beautiful baby room i have ever seen. I would like to give it 6 stars.

it's great how you balanced the severe look of the crib and the dresser with the whimsical accents you have together with the softer colored shelf and sofa. Where did you get that stuffed giraffe?

Simple and light. Just the way I prefer nurseries to be.

I love the colors that were used! They are modern while still having a very masculine feel. The theme colors were nicely used throughout the room with the toy storage, children's books and wall art. This little man will be a very happy baby in his beautiful nursery! Great job Kansas City!!
