Nola’s Nook

Description

We had a very tiny space to work with for Nola's nursery, so we had to get creative and very selective with the pieces that we chose for the room.

Design Inspiration

I purchased the bedding first, and everything went from there. I also frequently (daily?) visited the Project Nursery website for inspiration and motivation!

Decorating Style

I am not into themes, and I knew I didn't want her room to be too "girlie" or pink. I like to mix modern pieces with some vintage flair and brighter colors.

Project Details

Bedding/Curtains - Land of Nod... Crib - Walmart.com... Changing Table/Storage - BluDot... Joya Rocker - Monte Design... Shelf on Casters - World Market... Knitted Pouf - CB2... Rug - AllModern.com... and lots of other pieces that were DIY, Etsy, Amazon, etc.

Favorite Items

I really like the Joya rocker - it's compact design is perfect for this tight space, and it's also extremely comfy.

Advice

If you have a super tight space to work with, start strategically planning well in advance. It will take some time to get the right look with the pieces that will fit, especially if you're working with a budget.

I just love the colors you used for this room! Working without a specific theme is very difficult, yet this is one of the loveliest rooms I’ve seen on here!

Very nice and very warm. I like that you used warm earth tones and spiced it up with bright colors here and there.
