I like the way you bring together the old and the new here. I absolutely love your curtains, and am hoping you could tell me that it’s new and you bought it from target, but something tells me it’s been handed down to you and it’s priceless!

I can’t help but notice that amidst the bright colors of the things you used in this room, you chose a rather drab wall paint color. Is that intentional? How about a brighter shade?

hawahawa & heyjude: Thanks!! I ordered the fabric from superbuzzy.com. It’s “Echino” by Etsuko Furuya, a Japanese fabric designer. I added the red panels of fabric to the top and bottom to create the shades.
Briskrain: Unfortunately the color in my pictures is a little dull complarted to the actual room. I hate that.
The paint color is actually a little on the brite side, and I get more complements on it than anything! I did want to do a lighter shade though so that the colors of the furnishings and accessories stand out.

I like the cheerfulness of this room. I don’t know how you could have used a “brighter” shade on the walls – neon perhaps?! I think the hue is a good backdrop for all the other vibrant colors. You could have used a neutral tan and gotten a great effect with all the accessories too. I think my favorite is the little crocheted afghan, which you never see anymore!

I love this fun, bright room! My favorite is the afghan also! And the comment about the room being dull colored??? Huh?
