Description
There was a LOT of love that went into each and every part of Kinzie's nursery. Let's just say, we had some struggles trying to conceive... This little girl changed our lives forever before she even made it into this world and I (we) wanted her to feel the LOVE around her.
From DIY projects (chandelier crystals, creating a special clothing wall display, etc) to adding elements and vintage pieces that gave me such special/happy childhood memories.
Design Inspiration
I have loved Cicely Mary Barker's Flower Fairies for as long as I can remember. To me, they evoke a vintage, whimsical and feminine vibe that could make any girl feel enchanted. I had 3 of my favorite flower fairies printed on large vintage wood slabs to go above my daughter's crib.
Although, I wanted the nursery to be feminine, I was adamant about not using the traditional "baby pinks." A big fan of Bella Notte linens, I was smitten with the beautiful dusty rose colored hued collection called "Rose Quartz"
Decorating Style
Hard question... I used a few different styles. I just describe it as whimsical, vintage and feminine (maybe even a little "Paris Flea Market?") It's hard to pin point for me
Project Details

Three 14"W by 20"H flower fairy prints on vintage wood: Artehouse prints sale on Zulily.com (standing fairy, sitting fairy and flying fairy)
Two medium ivory vintage table tamps: Jubilee collection available at wayfair
Ivory wrought iron dress forms: Pottery Barn Teen
Hand painted wall picture frames, glider + ottoman: special ordered from Twinkle Twinkle Little One (a darling Chicago children's boutique)
Bella Notte Linens and "Sophia" patchwork quilt: also ordered through Twinkle Twinkle Little One
Crystal chandelier: unknown-taken from my old room at my parent's house and revamped DIY style by me-adding embellishments and extra strands of swarovski crystals
DIY Special clothing wall display: I have seen similar things done on pinterest but don't have a specific source. I just played and used some pretty ivory lace & hidden pins for the hangers to display the outfit Kinzie came home from the hospital in, what she wore her first full day home while family visited and her first baby gift outfit
Favorite Items
Hands down, the cozy spacious window seat (our "snuggly book nook") we created using cushions, pillows and drapes in beautiful Bella Notte linens.
Advice
Yes. You can purchase or create what I have listed but I would encourage you to design from your own heart. It makes the nursery feel much more magical that way.

Beautiful! I love Bella Notte linens and the vintage look. Is the paint color on the walls...BM Melted Ice Cream?

Thanks Jan! The paint wasn't BM Melted Ice Cream, but I am drawing a blank on the name of it....it was more of a beige with a very slight pink tint to it. I will have to get back to you on that one (sorry)
