Timi & Leslie Diaper Bag Giveaway

Just the other week, I tweeted how I purchased maybe the best diaper bag ever when my Timi & Leslie Charlie Diaper Bag arrived. I was hoping it was as good as it looked online, and I can now honestly say it delivered. It's a huge bag, and as a mom of two, it's exactly what I need. I often get so frustrated by the lack of space in a diaper bag—only fitting the bare essentials like a changing pad and bottle. That can be incredibly limiting down the road; because as my baby grows, I know I'll need more bottles, more changes of (larger) clothes and then of course, there's the food. I wanted more, and I got it in this awesome bag. In fact, I even brought Charlie with me on a quick weekend trip, which included a flight sans kiddos. It worked great, and I even got compliments from strangers. Personally, I prefer a diaper bag that doesn't scream diaper bag. Thankfully, Timi & Leslie Founder Leslie Newton agrees and had the same idea when creating her company. Timi & Leslie was created on the principle that women can still be stylish even once they become a parent. Leslie says her bags are for “the woman in every mom.” It all started in 2000 when Leslie decided to create a vinyl diaper bag for a friend's baby shower gift. Her love of vintage fabrics and accessories translated into a unique style of bag and, most importantly, made …

Retail Vignette of C.Wonder

For all of us in the interior design business, we've been hearing rumors about C.Wonder, a new type of retail shopping "experience," for what seems like years now. Well, the secret finally got out last weekend with the grand opening of the flagship store in one of the country's mega-design hubs, New York City. The atmosphere is like a mash-up of Anthropologie, Jonathan Adler and Tory Burch all let loose in a 72,000 square foot retail space. The coolest part? The store is laid out in five distinct "environments"—Palm Springs Modern, Hollywood Regency, English Townhouse, Vail Cabin and American Dream. What we also couldn't help but notice is that C.Wonder definitely has an inner child. The store is covered in bright, bold colors, exciting patterns and a whole-lotta whimsy. They even had a huge bus across the street that just so happened to include some of our favorite nursery trends—alphabet letters, silhouette animals and bright happy colors. And just in case you were thinking this store still might be too "adult," check out the advertisements for the store opening—chalk art! For now, the only open store is in SoHo, but there's more on the way for other New York areas and New Jersey. There's also talks of other locations throughout the country—Los Angeles please?
