Pirate Ship

We've seen a lot of wall decals here at Project Nursery. We love the fun and whimsy they can add to a room with minimal effort. There's something really special about these fabric wall decals from Pop & Lolli. Created by a former Walt Disney Imagineer, the decals are oversized and meant to create an all-encompassing world and creative space for your child. We love their unique and chic style. And not only do they have fabulous, great-to-look-at designs, Pop & Lolli also donates educational materials and resources to positively influence a South African child in need with every wall decal set purchased. You can rest at ease with these decals on your child's walls because all Pop & Lolli decals are eco-friendly and child safe. They are made of an ultra-premium polyester fabric, are produced with nontoxic materials and don't contain any of the PVCs that can be found in the manufacturing of vinyl decals. The decals are very reusable—easily removable and even re-positionable! Just think of the fun your child could have with the Build-a-Bot set, building and rebuilding robots. PERK ALERT! Project Nursery readers can receive 10% off their Pop & Lolli purchases between December 1st and December 25th 2011 by using the coupon code PN10. WIN IT! Emily Press Labels

We've talked about Emily Press Labels before, so you know how much we like their products. Whether labeling your child's things for daycare, school or just for playdates, Emily Press Labels has tons of options for all sorts of items. You're sure to find both the design and function to meet your needs. I still love Pam's idea to label her daughter's headbands. We all know how easy it is for our kids to "lose" things; at least this way, the lost items have a fighting chance of getting back to us. Emily Press Labels' playful assortment of label designs and colors are not only nice to look at, they're also very durable. The labels can withstand dishwashers, microwaves and washing machines. And we all know how often our kids' stuff goes through the wash! They also sell Welcome Baby label packs that contain enough labels for all your everyday baby items: bottles, food containers, sippy cups, toiletries, etc. You can label anything your heart desires. While many items have to be labeled out of necessity, there is also something so satisfying about labeling your things, like you're automatically just a little more organized (maybe that's just us). PERK ALERT! Until December 31, 2011, when you use the code PJN15, you will receive 15% off your label order. WIN IT! Emily Press Labels is giving away two prizes—a $50 gift certificate to the first lucky Project Nursery winner and a $25 gift certificate to the second winner. HOW TO ENTER: …

Land of Nod Fast Track Giveaway

Land of Nod is offering one Project Nursery reader the opportunity to win the Fast Track, a wooden raceway perfect for the holidays. One of the things I love about the Fast Track is that it really looks like it could be straight out of Santa's Workshop. Its simple and clean design makes it easy for me to imagine elves happily hammering away and painting each one for our kiddos. I love the heirloom look of it, and I can imagine hanging on to this one for grandkids to play with one day. And you know me, I'm just happy to have one less plastic toy in my house. Your child will love sending the cars racing down the sloping speedway. It comes with three single cars and one set of three connected cars. As the cars reach the end of one ramp, they flip down to the next level. The best part is (at least for this mama's ears) the cars move along so smoothly you don't have to worry about constant clatter as your kids play with it. WIN IT! Land of Nod is giving away one Fast Track to one lucky Project Nursery reader! HOW TO ENTER: To enter, let us know who you'd give the Fast Track to with a comment below. Contest ends Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at 11:59pm PST. FOR EXTRA ENTRIES: 1. “Like” Project Nursery and Land of Nod on Facebook, give a shout out on our walls and tell us you did with a …

Silver Tea Set

To get us in the mood for the holidays, over the next few weeks, our Project Nursery experts and contributors will be sharing favorite holiday gifts that either they received as a child or their children received. Join in on the conversation. What was your favorite gift?   With the holidays fast approaching and my shopping efforts in full swing, it's prompted me to take a stroll down memory lane to remember my most special childhood Hanukkah gift. I'll tell you this much, I have had some very memorable holidays, and it was difficult to pick just one favorite gift. There was the Western Barbie, complete with cowboy boots and lasso, and my very first pink silky nightgown with matching robe, which made me feel like a truly fancy little lady. However, it was a miniature silver tea set that holds the trophy for best Hanukkah gift ever. PB Kids Silver Tea Set   My dainty little set, almost identical to the one above, must have been the start of my lifelong obsession with all things British and miniature. To this day, I love a good pot of tea, and much to my husband's dismay, I keep my collection of antique tea cups stored in the basement. If you happen to find yourself in San Francisco and also love a little tea time, you must visit the most darling and chic spot for tea, Crown & Crumpet. I think I might have to saunter over for a little cheerio with …
