Boy’s Modern + Vintage Room

We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season with their family and friends. Even with the holidays in full swing, our readers have been very busy uploading fabulous rooms and parties to our gallery. Our team has narrowed down the projects to three amazing picks, but now it is up to you to decide which project deserves to be Project of the Week. FLOR Tiles

Including a rug in your child's room or play space can add just the right touch to make the room feel truly complete. The problem is, choosing the perfect rug can be tricky. Depending on the room's decor, you may want something simple or you may want to make the rug more of a focal point. FLOR has the perfect solution—you create the rug that's just right for you with their tile system. Each FLOR tile is 19.7" square, and they come in a wide range of colors, patterns and textures. You can mix and match the tiles in any combination that suits your fancy. You'll see some examples below of creating borders, mixing textures and checkerboard designs. I love the subtle effect created by alternating textures in the same color. With plenty of patterns and colors available, you'll find just the right match for your nursery or child's room decor. You can create something classic or quirky. It's up to you! Super easy to install, you'll have your new rug set up in no time. Check out Pam's FLOR video to see a demonstration. While FLOR tiles are durable and you can clean them like any other rug, I love the fact that if there was a real rug catastrophe—like a grape juice spill gone unnoticed for days, you can simply swap in a new square. You can create a soothing color scheme and a soft surface for your little one to play on. WIN IT! One lucky Project …

Whimsical Animal Lights

Illuminating children’s rooms and playrooms has evolved so much in the last few years that searching for the right lighting can be not only functionally driven but also a really fun decorative activity. While creating the desired lighting level is the functional goal of this purchase, it can also serve to augment the design of a space and provide another layer of character to the room. This week we would like to share some whimsical lighting options that can help you light your children's spaces, especially those hard to light corners where "lost toys" tend to hide. This first collection of modern lamps shows stylish solutions that could be used in any room. 1. JONISK Lamp by IKEA 2. Fluoro Shade by Ylighting 3. Offi Bongo Stool by All Modern 4. Toto Cube Lamp by Design Within Reach 5. Vibia Lamp by CSN 6. Faroles Fog by CB2   Here are some modern lamps that also have a fun and playful twist. 1. Miffy Lamp by Maiden 2. Offi Siamese Cat by All Modern 3. Offi Dachshund Dog by All Modern 4. Elephant Lamp by Modern Gadget 5. Cat Lamp by Modern Gadget 6. Magis Puppy Glow by Unica Home 7. Share Lamp by BNOdesign (made of upcycled plastic)
