It’s hard to put into words, but we all know that magical feeling we get when we find a perfect pair of shoes. Now that I'm a mom, I get that same feeling when I find shoes for my daughter. It's never too early to teach her about shoes, right? Although I love having my daughter look fabulous, I also want her to be comfortable. After all, it's hard work keeping up with the big kids in our neighborhood, and I don’t want her shoes to slow her down. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect pair of shoes for her. They have to be cute, comfortable and durable because like most kids, she plays hard! I was first introduced to Pediped last fall when I joined Pam and Melisa at the ABC Expo in Kentucky. We got a chance to meet the creative people behind the shoes and see their line firsthand; I have say we were all impressed. Now, they've teamed up with us to offer you the chance to win a $100 gift certificate to pick out the perfect shoes for your kiddos. The shoe line was created by a parent who was searching for the same thing that every parent looks for—comfortable yet stylish shoes for their little ones. The lines are designed around the different stages of walking, so whether your child is crawling, cruising or running at full speed, they have a shoe that will fit his or her needs.   Finally, a …

I have to admit when I open the mailbox to uncover a new catalog I get excited. Maybe it’s the shopper in me, but there is something amazing about opening a catalog filled with new products! One Step Ahead is always a fan favorite in my house. My daughter and I love to sit down and thumb through the pages together. Of course she wants everything she sees, similar to how I feel when go through the Anthropologie catalog. Although it takes a little negotiating, we always find items that make both mom and toddler happy. When shopping for toys I search for items that hold educational value and I steer clear from plastic items.  How charming is the first planner? It not only teaches the calendar, seasons, and weather, but also helps kids plan their day and express their moods. Although toys will always be the biggest hit with my 2-year-old, their catalog is filled with everything from childproof nursery decor to items that create a safe and cozy area for your little one to play. Have a little librarian in your family? The canvas shelves on their exclusive Sling Bookshelf  give little hands easy access to their favorite stories. All their products are tested by "real live" parents and if there is something that a parent is searching for but doesn't exist, their in-house design team creates it. They design unique solutions to help make life easier for parents. WIN IT! One lucky Project Nursery reader will win a $100 gift certificate towards …

High Chair - Red (1)[1]

I spent hours searching for shopping for my daughter's highchair. I wanted something that was functional but didn't scream "baby" the second you walked into the kitchen. I ended up settling for a very basic chair, a brand that shall remain nameless, but always wished for something a little more hip. The Baby Bjorn highchair definitely fits the bill! This chair is anything but basic. Really, how often have you seen a red and black highchair? Not only does this highchair stand out in the crowd but has all the functions us moms look for to help make our lives easier.  It's detachable tray making it easy to clean between those hard to reach places where "surprises" can usually be found  and can be popped in the dishwasher for quick and easy cleaning. The chair easily collapses or can be disassembled, making it perfect for travel or storage when we want to attempt to turn our house back into an adult space. All multitasking moms know that safety is must when it comes to a highchair. While juggling dishes, mealtime and kids you want to know that you little one is secure in their seat and doesn't run the risk of sliding out of their chair. Along with the safety harness, the highchair features a curved backrest and the rounded adjustable safety table that snugly hugs your baby. It is designed to fit children from 6 months to 3 years and can be adjusted to fit your baby as they grow. …

Listen up mommies, we all know that little girls have more"shoppin" choices than little boys, but it doesn't have to be the same in nursery decor. The classic chandelier has always been considered a feminine decor piece, and I'm here to tell you, it can look fabulous in a boy's room too! With the growing trend of chandeliers as decor, also noted in My Tiny Nest's post earlier this week, it's about time boys have a few choices too. We recently received pictures of a nursery that was designed around our Caden Lane Parker Bedding. When I was designing the Luxe Collection, I definitely had chandeliers in mind for the luxurious and vibrant collection, and not just for the girls either. I think a slick black chandelier looks amazing in a little boy's nursery. Coupled with black, white and blue, it just pops! Check out this nursery by Lexi Baker, the perfect example of incorporating a chandelier into a boy's nursery. I love how she's brought in different chandelier design elements into the room. The wall decor and pillows are the perfect touch to the black chandelier. Looking for your own chandelier decor? Here are some of my favorites ideal for a boy's luxe nursery. 1. Chandelier Silhouette Throw Pillow  for comfort and style 2. Peel and Stick Chandelier are adorable over the crib or changing table 3. Shower invites and Baby Announcements as creative room decor 4. Chandelier Rug 5. Peel and stick chandeliers for adding style to a bare wall
