At the beginning of summer we hosted a themed playdate for our little one and her friends. There are so many funny ideas to transform an ordinary playdate into a fun activity-filled get together. First pick a theme. We decided on a lemonade stand playdate since it was beginning to get hot here in Southern California, and Lauren and I could make the lemonade together for her and her friends. And, of course, she has been loving the Pinkalicious and the Pink Drink book lately. Next, decide on a location. We chose to host ours at the local park—really helps with low clean up! Pick a few items from home to use for decorations. I brought a table and chair from home and painted this cute little sign the week before. The sign will now hang in Lauren's room. You do not need many sweets and treats. I always do a little treat table. I can't help it! But for this one, I just used some baked goods from the grocery store and decorated with some printables and edible fondant pieces to add a little something special. Lastly, I love to give the kids a little something to take home. I had these striped bags left over from another party and filled them with some fun little surprises from the Dollar Store.
