The Posh Home Bright White and Pink Baby Girl Nursery Reveal

When I found out I was having another girl I was so excited!!   As an Interior Stylist and Lifestyle Blogger at The Posh Home I was overjoyed to start working on my youngest daughter’s nursery.  The nursery I designed for my oldest daughter is more shabby chic which you can see here.   I wanted to do something a little different this time.  I utilized some traditional and modern pieces for a more transitional feel.  My goal was to create a functional, fun, beautiful space for my daughter. I found this fun dresser that was in serious need of a new paint job at a local market.  I decided to paint it a light peachy pink to give the room a fun pop of color against the white walls.  The dresser is my favorite piece in the nursery!  We did wood molding painted in a bright white as an accent wall and painted the other walls the same white color to brighten up the room.  I found gold frames for above the crib and fun prints from Etsy which were an amazing bargain!  I went with a wood bead chandelier to add some additional light in the room in neutral colors.  I decided to layer a jute rug with my sheepskin rug to add some additional texture and comfort in the space.  I sewed on the trim to my curtains and was lucky enough to have my mom sew the crib skirt!  I loved this simple buffalo check crib sheet and thought it completed my space!  Hope you have enjoyed my nursery reveal!

The Posh Home Baby Girl Nursery Reveal

I was so excited when I found out I was having a girl and was thrilled to put together her nursery.  It was the one room in the house I could make feminine and girly and not drive my husband too crazy.  As a design student and lifestyle and interior design blogger I love to make spaces beautiful and functional.  Since we were having a girl I wanted to design a shabby chic, dreamy, and peaceful nursery.  When we moved into our home I was 7 months pregnant and had little time to piece the space together so it has been a work in progress.  I started shopping at vintage markets and found her dresser/changing table.  The dresser was a mess when we bought it but I had a vision of refinishing it a peach/pink blush color and loved the way it came together.  I found the crib from Restoration Hardware Baby & Child it gave me the vintage feel I was going for.  One of my favorite art pieces I purchased from Made By Girl and refinished the frame I placed it in.  I fell in love with Hygge & West’s Daydream wallpaper and knew I had to have that as a feature in her nursery.  I started piecing together items that I loved and completed her nursery after her first birthday!  I guess you could say I had a lot going on with becoming a new Mom and a move.  This room is one of my favorites and I love spending time in there.
