April in San Antonio, TX isn’t just another month, it is known as the month of Fiesta.  Fiesta typically starts mid- April and lasts 10 days; with Emerson’s birthday being right around the start it seemed only fitting to have this be the theme of her first birthday party.   Living in San Antonio I could find fiesta decor months before to start stocking up and planning (and the great thing is I can reuse these decorations year after year…I never have to buy another mini pinata again).

For Baby Emerson I wanted to create a nursery that incorporated my husbands love for safaris utilizing a color scheme of mint and gold for a feminine spin on the safari theme.
 

For my daughter’s second birthday I wanted soft, sweet colors and what little girl doesn’t love to twirl around in a tutu?! The party is a combination of DIY projects, items from vendors (I discovered I was not very good at making tulle pom items), and reuse of items (I have used those mason jars for my wedding, baby shower, Presley’s 1st birthday, and now her 2nd).
