We were so excited about having our first child that we couldn’t wait until we found out the gender to get to work. We knew that we wanted the walls to be a gender neutral colour and that we would add in personalized touches as we went. Our nursery is pretty tiny so we also wanted a space that would be functional yet not feel claustrophobic.

Thanks! The curtains were purchased from Sears. I tried to find them online but couldn’t track them down.. I’m pretty sure they were the “Whole Home” brand.

You can make the mobile faster, and a lot cheaper, by following these directions to make a tissue-paper pom poms. The look is not exact, but it’s similar and you can cut the ends differently for a different texture. Since each pom pom takes between 8-12 sheets of tissue paper, you can economically try it many different ways.
