I was ecstatic when Pam and Melisa asked me to join them at the ABC Kids Expo. This was my first baby show, and I have to admit I was not prepared for what was in store for me. The Kentucky Expo Center has one million square feet of space, and let me tell you, you can squeeze a LOT of baby stuff into that space! I think it took me at least a few hours to get acclimated to the size of the whole thing, and as we made our way through the show, I felt like a kid in a candy store. I think Pam and Melisa started to count the number of times I cried out, “I NEED that!”
The expo was absolutely buzzing about Skip Hop’s new bedding and diaper bag line. These diaper bags were amazing! Skip Hop’s Jonathan Adler line uses vivacious colors and dramatic patterns to create a perfect match.
One of our favorite reveals (Team PN could not stop talking about it!) had to be Skip Hop’s latest bedding line. Their clever and decorative sheet sets give parents the option to go bumperless without sacrificing style!
Both are scheduled to hit the stores in early December. We even had the opportunity to meet Skip Hop’s savvy founders Ellen and Michael Diamant.
Time for lunch! We were flattered to have the team at Carousel Designs join us. What an amazing group of people! This is a family-owned and operated business with very honest values. Project Nursery is very excited about upcoming projects with Carousel Designs, and we are honored to call them our friends.
After lunch, it was back to the showroom floor and time to visit Babyhome. Babyhome is a Barcelona-based company that is entering the US market. I instantly fell in love with the Babyhome portable crib.
It has a sleek, functional design but is also lightweight and perfect for traveling.
Babyhome is also releasing a new line of bedrails, which follows their functional yet eye-catching design as well.
As you might expect, the Boon booth was vibrant—full of color and cool new products to ogle over.
Our trade show coverage would not be complete without a little potty talk. This Jahgoo 3-in-1 potty system caught our eye. The 3-in-1 potty can first be used as a traditional training potty and then transformed into a seat insert for your toilet and a step stool as your little one masters their new skill. This product was created by a dad who was tired of his bathroom being congested with eyesores and decided to take on the challenge of designing hip, design-conscious gear for the bathroom.
Last but not least was Sprout. Clark Davis, founder and owner, won our hearts. His modern playroom furniture line, with its clean, simplistic design, was created to allow for maximizing your child’s creativity, and the interchangeable furniture pieces are so easy to assemble, your toddler could do it. A toddler tool box is even available for them to help!
We’re not done revealing yet. Stay tuned for more fabulous finds!

If you’ve spent a lot on a good quality bedding set, you’ll want to use it again for your next child. Buying neutral doesn’t mean you have to compromise on design either. Many themed sets are perfectly suitable for both boys and girls.
