We’re so excited the Christmas season is here! Let all the holiday parties and festive gatherings begin. You’re going to fa-la-la-la-la in love with our Holly Jolly Christmas collection that has everything you need for the most merry and bright celebration this side of the North Pole!
The great thing about Christmas is that your home is already decorated for the festivities. A sparkly tree and stockings hung by the chimney with care instantly make the space feel celebration-ready.
We took the classic red and green Christmas color scheme and added a dash of mint and pink to give it a vintage vibe. Here we layered green, red and mint scalloped bunting, tassel garland and a Merry Christmas garland to transform the focal wall into a magical holiday wonderland. This backdrop would be adorable for a photo booth or a visit from Santa!
During the holidays, we like to adopt Buddy the Elf’s philosophy of sticking to four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup. We recommend also adding food groups for cake and sugar cookies! Buddy would just love this Christmas party because it’s all about the sweets.
For the cake, we gave it a white ruffle frosting treatment and sprinkled silver edible glitter to make it sparkle. We stuck in this adorable Be Jolly Pom Pom Cake Topper as the perfect finishing touch.
The paper products bring this holiday celebration to life! You can’t go wrong with Santa and star party plates, Santa and reindeer party cups, star napkins and candy cane striped straws and party bags.
Every year we have a Christmas bucket list we like to check off with our kids. At the top of that list is sugar cookie decorating! It’s such a fun activity for the kids and then they can eat the cookies afterwards with a cup of hot cocoa (with marshmallows)! Package the rest of the cookies in white bakery boxes and tie with ribbon as a sweet gift for friends and neighbors.
Our mom usually bakes plain sugar cookies and gives our kids a tutorial on how to frost each one. You can make this as simple or complicated as you’d like based on the ages of the kids. Or if you want it to be a creative free-for-all, that works too! Set out lots of different candies, sprinkles and bottles of frosting for some serious decorating fun.
Other party activities could include writing letters to Santa, reading The Night Before Christmas, and if you’re really feeling the holiday spirit, you could have Santa make an appearance in person! Give each child a chance to sit on Santa’s lap and share his or her wish list. Don’t forget to take a picture and have Santa give the kids a candy cane or special treat.
