EEK! We’ve gone batty for our new, fabulously spooky Halloween party. October is here and Halloween is just around the corner! Bats, spiderwebs, black cats and witch hats in rose gold, orange and black will definitely get you in the trick-or-treat spirit. Little ghosts and goblins will have fun haunting your party where they can dress up in their spook-tacular costumes, carve pumpkins and of course—eat all the sweets! We’re excited to share the party details so you can throw a spooky Halloween celebration of your own.
Our October traditions include visits to the pumpkin patch, watching (not so) spooky movies (we love Hocus Pocus, Room on the Broom, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown) and, of course, Halloween parties! We party at school and we party at home with family and friends, especially on Halloween night. The products in this collection can be used for any creepy, crawly celebration!
The backdrop is super simple to recreate on any focal wall inside or out. We started by hanging a black bunting garland. Next, we added an orange “EEK” foil script balloon by taping the back of it right onto the center of the garland. Then we layered the Happy Halloween garland that includes fabulous dangling spiders, cobwebs and shiny Mylar tassels. The final touch was this amazing, giant bat foil balloon. Seriously, this balloon is 43-inches of batty goodness, and he’s the absolute hit of ANY spooky celebration.
We are DYING over these friendly bat cupcakes! Frost cupcakes black using a pastry bag and round tip. Frost in a circular motion starting on the outside of the cupcake and working your way to the center, creating a peak. Then add candy googly eyes, which can be found in the baking section of many grocery or craft stores. Finally, we used black cardstock paper to cut out bat wings and stuck them into the sides of the frosting. We took inspiration from this tutorial that includes a printable bat wing template.
This black cat can cross our path anytime! Following this tutorial, we frosted the cake with black frosting and added sparkly rose gold ears, nose and whiskers. Use black cardstock paper to cut out the triangles and whisker shapes, then use rose gold glitter to add the shimmer. We glued the whiskers to the back of bamboo skewers so they can stick into the cake for proper whisker effect! You can also make these out of candy and sprinkles (like they do in the tutorial), but we simplified by using paper.
The paper products for this party are frighteningly cute. The bat party cups, rose gold foil straws, cobweb plates, mini witch hats and polka dot party bags give off some super Halloween vibes!
We wish you all a safe, happy and sweets-filled October!
