Design Inspiration
The starting-off point for this room were the animal bookends Easton had in his nursery. I knew I wanted to use them again in his toddler room paired with a large wall map. Once I found the lion bust, I knew his room would be safari-inspired.
Decorating Style
My style is contemporary with a few modern elements mixed in. I love having a general theme of a room without having that theme punch you in the face as soon as you walk in. The safari theme is there, but subtle.

Favorite Items
My favorite item in the room is the green bed. It was just the right amount of pop that I needed. It grabs your attention without being overbearing.
Advice
When wanting to do a theme for a room, don't go overboard. Pick a few items that go with your theme and then leave the rest neutral. The theme of the room is still seen and the few pieces that you did choose to match will really make a statement.
