Today you’ll meet Kt Steppers, a mom-owned brand that specializes in one-of-a-kind step stools for your little ones. Each piece is designed and painted to order so that you know there are no two alike—something that’s hard to come by these days! Their darling designs grace nurseries and toddler rooms all over the world, including celebrity baby spaces. We think that these are a perfect and unique gift idea right in time for the holidays!

What about Kt Stepper makes you most proud? 

To see a Kt Stepper pop up on TV or in a magazine, blog, etc. and to know that our little step stool is being used all over the country and world makes me proud. It works as nursery décor, adding some personalization to the space, and becomes so functional when your tot is ready to be a little more independent.

Do you have a signature product or design element?

Yes, our Cricket Stepper is our signature Kt Stepper.  It’s how we started and is fully kid-tested and kid-approved! Our Cricket Stepper is eco-friendly and lightweight, so kids can carry it around and use it all over the house.

What do you think people might not know about Kt Steppers that you’d like to share?

Kt Steppers is still a one-mom shop! Everything is hand painted and custom designed per order. While, we do have interns and temp-painters at times (like holiday season), there is only one “KT” that steps up to run the show around here.

What advice do you have for parents when curating their nursery? Any nursery must-haves? 

Enjoy making the space come together. Whether you have a theme or color in mind, stick to it and watch it all come together. Including pieces that are personal, from your childhood or family, will add meaning that you can share with your little one. Must-haves? Well, it goes without saying, a Kt Stepper, of course! Okay, in all seriousness, I think a nursery needs a great chair or glider, because mom and dad need a comfy spot too!

Where do you find your inspiration?

I definitely find inspiration from those around me who are successfully maneuvering through life, building their dream while enjoying every second of parenthood.
