When we found out we were expecting, I knew that I wanted to design a gender baby celebration that was not only an original and modern design, but one that our other three children could participate in. As I researched ideas, I began to envision a modern clock theme and thought it would be amazing for a cuckoo clock to chime and our kids to rush to see the cuckoo bird deliver them a slip of paper that would tell them if it was a boy or a girl :) That was a little farfetched, however, and I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a cuckoo clock. So, I was beyond thrilled when I discovered a DIY tutorial on a website for a mock cuckoo clock.We had a close friend that was the only one to know the surprise clip the paper to the clock. A very loud cuckoo clock recording did indeed interrupt our soiree, and our oldest son rushed to pull the slip of paper off the clock and scream the results to our guests :):)

All in all, it was a blissful evening full of family, fun, and amazing memories.
