Description
My mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law hosted a little red wagon themed baby shower for me. I'm expecting a baby boy the beginning of September.
Design Inspiration
Everything started with my childhood red wagon. My mom kept the wagon knowing that one day my kids could enjoy it! My husband's parents also kept his red wagon and we ended up using it at the shower too...such a sentimental touch! From there we picked colors to coordinate and decided on a picnic theme for the food.
Decorating Style
My decorating style is very vintage and also DIY. My mom and I made all of the paper flags, pinwheels, and fans ourselves. We also decorated with mason jars and vintage crates I already had in my house. The picnic bears were also mine as a child.

Favorite Items
My favorite items were the paper fans on the wall and paper banners throughout the house. They were so simple to make but made such a huge statement! Guests at the shower were asking to buy them from us!
Advice
My advice is to pick something you love that has a sentimental value, like the vintage red wagon, and run with it. Guests will really appreciate seeing something that was once yours pop up at your baby shower....and your mom and mother-in-law will be so happy they kept it for you for so long! Love the theme! I like that it centers on one classic children’s favorite — the wagon!
