In the Nursery with A+ Life

Don’t be surprised when you see repeat features for families here on Project Nursery. You can’t blame us for re-tapping a great resource. Once we see a talented mama’s work, we know she’s bound to impress us again with more nurseries and room updates. So though we toured Courtney’s shared girls’ room design just last year, we are back to check out her cactus themed nursery for her baby boy Finn. Yay! You can find Courtney and her sweet family on A+ Life Blog, where she shares bits of her home life with her readers. Thank you, Courtney, for letting us into your home again!

Design inspiration can come from anywhere—what inspired your nursery/kid room design?
Initially, I had a hard time coming up with plans for what I wanted for a little boy nursery. I knew I didn’t want it to be dark, and I knew I didn’t want it to be sports themed, but other than that, I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to take. But then! I saw a quilt that had succulents on it and had an idea—what if I did a cactus theme? That could be boyish and fun, while also staying light and bright.

What do you love the most about the finished design?
For me, it is either the green crib or the custom-made closet barn doors—made entirely by my husband!

What is that one thing that everyone mentions when they step into this space?
It is probably a tie between the light fixture and the green painted crib!

Hi Beth, do you know what the name and brand of the green paint on the crib is?

    Thank you!
