Celebrate the sweet little “deer” in your life with this vintage-inspired Fancy Fawn birthday party! This theme is perfect for spring and summer birthday parties and baby showers. We’re excited to share some of the details and ideas on how to bring this party to life for your own special celebration!
This “Fancy Fawn” invitation from Minted set the stage for the girly, vintage vibe with its red, pink and teal color palette.
We used these amazing crepe paper flowers and added Spanish moss to the centers to create a beautiful backdrop. They are a total showstopper! We placed them in the pattern we wanted and then filled in around and above with green leaves and vines for the most gorgeous dessert table. You could even use it as a photo backdrop for your tiny guests!
We carried the color palette and pattern mix (polka dots and gingham) throughout all of the party details, including the tissue tassel garland, party balloons and paper goods, creating the most whimsical woodland celebration in all the land.
Got a sweet tooth? We have you covered in the sugar department! We love sending little guests home with a favor bag full of sweet treats, like cherry gumballs, strawberry candy sticks and frosted sugar cookies. This Fancy Fawn Cookie Kit comes with everything you need to bake and package these darling cookies—the cookie cutter, cellophane bags, baker’s twine and our mom’s famous sugar cookie recipe card! And everything fits perfectly in the cutest red gingham treat bags sealed with an adorable deer sticker.
Simple white frosted cupcakes look so pretty with aqua polka dot wrappers atop white milk glass cake stands.
We think it’s super important for any party to include a craft or activity to keep the kiddos entertained. There are many fun options for a fawn birthday party, like playing pin the tail on the deer. Here are two more of our favorites.
Set up a deer mask making station. For this craft, you can use this sweet deer mask template and pre-cut the pieces out of felt. Other supplies could include ribbon (for the ties), markers, glue, glitter, rhinestones and anything else you can find to make the masks fabulous. Little guests will have so much fun decorating and crafting! How fun that each child can pretend to be her very own sweet little deer! Don’t forget to take pictures!
Make deer food. This is a fun activity that can also be used as a party favor. You will need a variety of candy, such as M&M’s, chocolate chips, granola or marshmallows, as well as a bag for each child. The children can fill their bags with different ingredients to make “deer food” that they can take home at the end of the party.
