Swaddle Baby Up in Style

When I was looking at baby blankets for my firstborn, it was a sea of baby ducks and polka dots as far as the eye could see. Don’t get me wrong, cutesy has its place, but, my gosh, I would have loved to wrap my baby in the organic muslin swaddles from Modern Burlap back then. I mean, how gorgeous is this world map swaddle blanket?

We know you’ve heard of companies that started in a garage, but what about a barn? Husband and wife team, Samantha and Jacoby Lischka, knew the benefits of both swaddling and high-contrast prints for baby’s developing eyes and decided to bring the two together in the ultimate baby blanket. The couple started up Modern Burlap from their very own Texas barn and launched in 2014.

The swaddle blanket prints are so eye-catching that you’ll love using them in baby photo ops, too. They make the perfect backdrop for monthly baby photos and everyday moments.

Each swaddle blanket is made with GOTS certified organic cotton and non-toxic dyes, and they come in a generous 47″ x 47″ size, ensuring you can get the perfect swaddle with ease. Already super-soft, the blankets, believe it or not, will actually get softer as you use and wash them.

And you know what I especially love? They offer oversized knit blankets too. Now that my kiddos are older, I love that I get a chance to cuddle my guys up in one of these beautiful blankets even if their swaddling days are over. In modern prints and their signature black and white palette, the large knit blankets will even look great draped over the back of your couch.
