A Halloween Party for the Littlest Ghosts and Goblins

My kids love Halloween, but honestly sometimes some of the spookier decorations get the better of them. We’ve had to skip houses on our trick-or-treating route because they were just too scary! So this year instead of the classic spooky Halloween, I wanted to create a non-scary party that all of the little guests could enjoy. I came up with a list of things that all kids seem to love, including animals, balloons and sweets, and when I put them all together, the idea for a friendly little circus-themed Halloween party came to life!

Circus-Themed Halloween Party

My little circus features pumpkins painted like a clown, an elephant and a lion, but you can create any performer you can think of with a pumpkin, paint and paper—it could be anything from the ringmaster to a trained bear. Kids will love to paint the pumpkins to create their own little circus characters!

Pumpkin Circus Animals

Tissue paper fringe is such a fun embellishment to add to your painted pumpkins—I used it to create the lion’s mane.

Turn your pumpkin on its side and use the stem as a nose, snout, trunk or beak for your animal! Cardstock can be cut and glued to your pumpkin to create ears, like I did for the elephant.

For a party that’s all treats and no tricks, create a treat cart filled with Circus Peanuts and other festive sweets.

balloon arch makes the perfect backdrop to a circus-themed party table. DIY party hats add a fun touch of whimsy for little party guest and pumpkins alike.

Hand-painted jack-o-lanterns make for fun and silly Halloween decor kids will love.

DIY Jack-o-Lantern Bottle Labels

Create easy pumpkin straws with paper straws, balloons and tissue paper. As a bonus, they look adorable when paired with bottles of IZZE Sparkling Clementine. Plus, this sparkling juice contains no added sugar or preservatives for a healthier alternative to soda.
