We’re Going All Natural!

When it comes to skin care products, I’ve always been a little neurotic. I carefully read all the labels and take time to learn what each ingredient is. My rule of thumb is pretty simple—if I can’t pronounce the ingredient or if the name has more letters than the alphabet, it’s not going on me and it’s certainly not going to touch my baby. When it came time to decide which products I was going to use on my kids, my level of “need to know” was off the charts. I want to be assured that what I am putting on my little ones is 100% safe and 100% natural—no exceptions.

My first baby had tough skin, so I never had to deal with diaper creams or ointments, but Blake is a different story. He is by far my sensitive one—inside and out! He battled diaper rashes right from the start, and I’ve tried pretty much every natural product to hit the market. Some worked and some didn’t, so when I was recently introduced to Maty’s Healthy Products, I liked what I saw.

Maty's Healthy Products Baby Ointment

If this is the first time you are hearing about Maty’s Healthy Products, I’ll give you a little background on the company. It was founded by a mother who was determined to heal her daughter who was born with severe heart defects. After three surgeries before the age of five, her daughter developed alopecia and severe plaque psoriasis all over her body. Since there was no treatment appropriate for a child her age, her mother turned to a naturopathic doctor. She began her research, developed all natural products and shared them with her family and friends. After seeing how well her natural remedies worked, she launched Maty’s Healthy Products. None of their products contain hydrogenated oils, and they aren’t made with anything you wouldn’t be willing to eat. Maty’s Healthy Products is committed to providing families with safe and natural alternatives to help heal and put people on the path to better health. Pretty amazing, right?

I put their baby ointment to the real test—Blake’s bottom. The first step was to look at the ingredients, and the list checked all my boxes—everything is all natural, and I recognized every item. There are no hidden ingredients or anything to question, which makes me feel good about using it on Blake. Ready for the best part? It left his bottom smooth, soft and rash-free, just as a baby’s bottom should be! I’ll spare you the picture—you’ll just have to take my word for it when I tell you that he was a happy little man!
