In the Nursery with Emily Jackson of Ivory Lane

We recently got a peek into fashion blogger Emily Jackson’s nursery for her baby boy Cannon. It’s a lovely space that we’re sure you’ll love. You may already know Emily’s fashion and lifestyle blog Ivory Lane, but if not, you should definitely stop by—she has killer style and shares sweet moments with her family. Emily graciously shared images of baby Cannon’s nursery. Now four months old, he joined older sister, Capri, late last year. Congratulations, Emily, on your growing family, and thank you for sharing the details of your son’s nursery below.

If you are familiar with Ivory Lane, you know how important my family is to me. My blog is an extension of the style I developed while growing up in a house of all girls—my three sisters and me. I have always had a passion for creative design, and I love sharing that passion with my readers!

How did what you do for work impact the design of your nursery?

With my blog, I am constantly looking for new inspiration. I wanted Cannon’s nursery to serve as a serene, quiet place that I could think and gather inspiration. I wanted light and airy colors, but I also wanted it to be bold. I added in the bold elements with the Oilo bedding. I love their patterns and textures. The linen on the side of his crib is perfect.

What was the most important thing you wanted to achieve when creating this space?

I wanted a calm, serene space. I love neutral colors, but I wanted to add in a darker gray to make the room a little more masculine since it’s for my little boy.

What is your favorite thing about the room?

The nook with the rocking chair and reading area. I know he will love to play and read there when he gets older. For now, I just love rocking him in the morning with the natural light from the big windows streaming in.

I know this was posted some time ago but I love the wall color and am considering it for my own home’ however, it appears much darker than any of the photos I see posted here. Wondering if she had it lightened by 25 or 50%? No luck finding the answer on her personal blog.
