Party Reveal: TMNT Cowabunga Back-to-School Party

When my son Brandt connected with Leonardo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, we knew a back-to-school lunch party with his closest friends was a must. The theme? TMNT, of course!

We were able to find all of the perfect TMNT themed character party supplies at Target for our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles party. We decided to set up a DIY pizza bar so that each kid could make his own personal pizza. We designed some darling printable pizza boxes, which held the crust in place while the kids put sauce, cheese and pepperoni on them.

Lunch was served on these fun party plates, and “green ooze” was served in themed cups.

For the decor, we set up these green 10-inch honeycomb balls, and added masks to look like the TMNT characters.

We found all of these fun themed T-shirts and even a onesie at Target—not only do they match the party theme, they can be added into their back-to-school wardrobe.

After lunch, the boys dressed up in their TMNT masks and DIY turtle shells.

They had so much fun playing in their costumes and practicing their best ninja moves.

After some playtime outside, it was time for everyone to get a temporary tattoo.

Guests took home loot bags filled with goodies perfect for back-to-school—granola bars, fruit snacks, pens, notebooks, erasers and more!

The kids had a blast, and they especially loved learning more about all of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters. How do you celebrate back-to-school? We’d love to see what you have planned!
