Mixie Bottle: Fix Now, Mix Later

I don’t think I’ll ever forget those frantic newborn moments out and about when my babies suddenly decided it was time to eat—not in a “two to five minutes will be peachy, mom” way, but more like right NOW.  Heart racing, fingers fumbling, I could never seem to get the bottle ready fast enough, and no matter how organized my diaper bag was, the formula, water and bottle didn’t seem to want to cooperate. So, when I was recently given a demonstration of the first ever formula mixing bottle called the Mixie, I knew it was pure genius. The Mixie lets you totally prep the bottle before you need it and mix it right on the spot.

Mixie is designed with separate compartments for the formula and water, so when baby’s ready to eat, you simply press the button at the bottom of the bottle to release the formula into the water. Just give it a little shake and voila, your bottle is ready. No frantic heart racing required!

I sooo remember those days…formula spilling EVERYWHERE while frantically trying to get the bottle mixed. This is genius.

I also own Mixie bottles! They are a complete life saver! I never have to worry about scheduling my sons feedings to fit into going to the market or out to dinner. Just having the bottles pre prepped is so wonderful! Plus the nipples are super easy flow and my son loves them!

This is so cool! I hope they aren’t a pain to wash and clean.

This is something breastfeeding moms do not need. But we can relate to this kind of frantic baby moment. Except that we don’t fumble for our bottles and our formula container inside our diaper bags. We fumble for the cover or the blanket! And sometimes, we have to scout for the nearest “discreet” corner.

Had that same concern, Natasha. I remember having a hard time cleaning my kids’ sippy cups, especially the ones with pop-up straws. As a really busy mom, I sometimes don’t have the time to dismantle the straws and the covers, and it’s pretty hard to clean the dirt stuck in the smallest crevices.

I was just thinking that one of these needed to be invented!!! Awesome!
