Mirror Mirror on the Wall

We love that first moment a baby sees him or herself in the mirror and breaks into a wide grin. It’s a game that you can play with your little one over and over again. When designing a nursery, we like to select the right mirror to fit the room to complete the scheme and eagerly await the adorable person that will look into it. So, if you’re modern or romantic, serene or silly, we have mirrors to tickle your fancy and entertain your little one. Here are some of our favorites.

A simple shape with a beautiful hanging detail makes this mirror from Burke Décor a beautiful accent for a romantic space or a modern nursery.

Restoration Hardware’s Trompe L’Oeil Birdcage Mirrors are both decorative and functional as reflectors and art elements that enhance the room.

We love Graham and Brown’s puzzle mirror. It brings some fun into the room as the next piece of your family puzzle arrives.

Land of Nod’s “One, Two Buckle My Mirror” brings some additional texture into the room with its detailed hanging straps.

Sometimes too much is just the right amount—this decorative and ornate Parisian Mirror, available in a variety of colors, completes any room it’s added too.

Last but not least, for a romantic and vintage touch, we really like this White Narcissus mirror from Anthropologie.

Will you be adding a mirror to your child’s room?

The Parisian mirror in bright or cool colors — like aqua or turquoise — would be terrific!

I like my mirrors simple and flexible design-wise, like that first one. I prefer them to just go along with the rest of the decor, instead of it making a huge statement.
