Finn’s Finds L’Elephant Stacker

When you have two live toy testers in your house, you can find out pretty quickly how a toy will measure up. I often give them various items and toys we are thinking of featuring in our Fabulous Finds corner and my little guinea pigs go to work. So when an adorable elephant stacker arrived from Finns Finds, a stylish online boutique featuring clothes, toys and gifts from Denmark, Holland, Australia, France and the US, both kids eagerly wanted their time with the toy.

The stacker arrived in a nice box with a clear window so you could see the shiny pink elephant. Given that my daughter and I are suckers for anything pink we were instantly intrigued. The toy seemed extra fancy since it was made in France by expert wooden toy makers Vilac. I removed the stacker and immediately noticed how well made it was. The lacquer paint gave the toy a nice shiny finish, the elephant face was sweet and inviting and the felt elephant ears added a soft touch.  My two and a half year old really enjoyed moving the stacking rings up and down and he spent his toy time sliding the pieces onto the stacker to create all sorts of combinations. My daughter became fast friends with Ms. Elephant and I think even had a five minute conversation with her. I have to point out that both of my toy testers dropped the wood pieces many, many times on our hard floor and because it is well made I can report that the stacker stood up to the abuse.  There is a reason the toy company has been around and making high quality wooden toys since 1911. Their pieces are timeless and well made. each piece is turned, smoothed, sanded and lacquered by skilled craftsmen.

The L’Elephant Stacker is $32 and Finns Finds is offering 30% off all products. Just enter code “bemine” at checkout. In addition, 10% of sales will go to “Doctors Without Borders” and Haiti relief efforts! Get those baby shower gifts and help a wonderful cause all at the same time.
