Real Parties: Leighton’s Ladybugs

Miss Leighton’s ladybug themed 1st birthday provides so much wonderful inspiration (just check out those tissue paper grass runners)! Sure, Winter is pretty much here but we can start dreaming up plans for a Spring birthday now, can’t we?

Child’s name: Leighton
Age: 1
Location: Calabasas, CA

What is the theme of the party and why?
We decided to give my daughter a ladybug themed first birthday party because before she was even born we nicknamed her leightybug!

Did you find inspiration from any particular photos or websites?
I found inspiration for the photos in an issue of Martha Stewart Weddings.

Please share with us where you purchased your supplies.
I purchased most of the supplies at bulkpartysupplies.com and etsy.com.

What was was the most creative item you made for the party?
The most creative items I made were the tissue grass runners that ran down all of the tables and the ladybug tissue balls and pom poms.

Do you have any advice or tips for someone inspired to throw a similar party?
Just to be creative and have fun. You can do so much with so little.

I love this party. I am having a ladybug party for my little love bug in September. Where can I find the wings that are pictured here? I have searched everywhere.
