Design Board: $27 Crib Bedding

We love it when you take the time to join our new community and post on our forum! We enjoy meeting you and learning about your opinions, ideas or design dilemmas. The other day we saw that PN reader Camille needed some opinions about her daughters soon to be shared nursery. We gave our opinion and then learned all about mom’s selections. We then thought we would help visualize some of her design ideas on paper – I mean computer!

Now here’s the real reason why we had to blog about this particular forum post (besides the fact the room is going to be beautiful!): The DwellStudio Crib Bedding from Target is only $27 dollars – WOW! What an amazing find by Mom. With that, Camille is looking to make the room work with two different crib finishes: white and espresso. The official PN opinion: It works!

LAD suggestion: Paint the bottom half of the wall green to compliment the green in the bedding. Then just above it, create a 1-inch thick line with the dark pink color. Leave the top half of the walls white and accent with contemporary yellow bird art as shown above. If your up for getting really creative, scallop the pink line with green to mimic the soft curves of the bedding pattern! Best of luck Camille. We look forward to seeing the finished room!

PS: Don’t you hate it when your computer crashes? I am feeling stranded without my computer and all my fancy Photoshop programs. So what did I do so I wouldn’t disappoint Camille? I turned to Polyvore to create my design board! Soooo cool. I highly suggest you try it and then send us your completed inspiration boards so we can share with everyone!

Thank you for doing this!!!! I actually stumbled across polyvore a few weeks ago by accident, and put together a design board. Yours looks much more professional than mine. =)

I’ll be painting this week, can’t wait! I’m 32 weeks PG today, hopefully things will be done in time for her arrival.

What is the crib you have in this picture? I love it! We’re having a boy, but I would love to do something similar with the paint job and green and blue…
