Your color choice makes the nursery look so clean and soothing to the senses. I bet if I see this in person, I would have a very easy time sleeping. I really love what you did here.

I cannot find one thing wrong with this nursery. Its amazing. The colors, all the antique touches, etc… I just love it! My favorite piece is the dresser! I want it haha.

The nursery is beautiful. How did you hang the canopy above the crib? I’m looking to do something similar and wondering if you’d mind recommending your method, please! Thank you.

Thank you all for the amazing comments! We also find this room
to be very peaceful which isn’t even totally conveyed
in the pictures. It made sense for us to have the nursery be very serene as thats where our little one will sleep and we will spend many restless hours I’m sure ;)
Beth – for the canopy we bought a pretty expensive stud finder, we used the ‘deep scan’ feature on
it because our ceilings are very textured. It worked and we drilled a
fairly large hole into a stud and used an s hook (I think
that’s what it was, my husband would know) to secure the thick rope from the canopy. There’s no way that puppy’s coming down until little L is able to hang on it like Tarzan. :)

I had a canopy above Gracie’s crib also…..but I always moved her crib away from the canopy at night. The baby could get all tangled up in it and maybe strangled…..so I would move the crib away from it at night. Just a suggestion!

That is a very good suggestion. Even though it is in a stud, I still feel a little weird about it. Thanks for the suggestion, we will do that =)

Love this room! I would love to purchase this crib as I think its gorgeous but being off white did you have trouble finding a matching dresser? I noticed yours has a kind of vintage look, where did you source this from matches perfectly!

Kirsty – Thank you! We LOVE this crib!! It’s so unique! We got the dresser from Nebraska Furniture Mart here in KC. I think it was about $120 or something. Very reasonable! I too was wondering how we would match other furniture. I didn’t really want to do white and off white. The room is very neutral to begin with so I figured we could add a touch of green/blue to make it a little more ‘boy’ :)

This nursery is very lovely in a subtle kind of way. No element is shouting for attention. It’s only if you take a really close look at the details, will you see the charm and the “cuteness.”
