These Shoes are Made for Playing

Despite my love for footwear, I was never one to put shoes on my kids when they were babies. Don’t get me wrong—I think teeny tiny sneakers, boots and ballet flats are the ultimate in adorable, but I’m all about simplifying my day, and newborn size shoes were on my list of non-essentials. So when my son was learning how to walk a few months ago, I couldn’t wait to pick out his first pair of kicks.

Of course I wanted my little man’s shoes to be stylish, but in my opinion, looks alone don’t cut it when it comes to what you’re wearing on your feet, especially for a teetering toddler.
