A Whimsical Nursery for a Sweet Baby Girl

When one of our favorite clients came to us to tell us she was pregnant again, we couldn’t have been more excited. She’s already the proud mom of an adorable little boy, so we were even more ecstatic to find out she was having a little girl—time to design a whimsical girl’s nursery!

We fell in love with this adorable (seriously!) floral wallpaper from Caitlin Wilson. It features mom’s favorite color—purple—so we knew we had found a winner. We decided to highlight the wallpaper with simple molding to bring in added architectural flair, and the result is stunning. The beautiful gold mirror (securely attached to a stud in the wall, of course) is the crowning jewel above the crib.

We then worked closely with a local vintage store to find the perfect dresser for the room. When we found this nine-drawer dresser, it was love at first sight. We painted it in our client’s favorite shade to coordinate with the wallpaper and lined the drawers with the wallpaper remnants. We then added adorable glass and brass knobs to dress it up.

We just LOVE gallery walls! They’re the perfect place to add some personality and add even more charm to the room. We centered the arrangement around the All You Need Is Sleep! print. It seems perfect for a newborn’s room and speaks to mom’s sentiments exactly. We finished off the dresser with a chic gold and white striped lamp, adding a bit of sophistication to the room.

We like to incorporate a good quiet corner in all of our nurseries if we can swing it, and this nursery is no different. We set up our ledge shelves to showcase Kylie’s growing library and hopefully encourage hours and hours for quiet story time. On the adjacent wall, we added another nod to one of mom’s favorites—Easter! It’s her favorite holiday, and she cried when she saw the bunny in her daughter’s room. We accented it with paper flowers we found at Target.

We hope you enjoyed this little tour of our latest nursery design. We had so much fun pulling it together for the sweetest little baby girl ever and her amazing mom. It’s not just a room Kylie can grow up in and enjoy, it’s one in which her mom can relax and share her favorite things with her daughter as well.
