Reid’s Brooklyn Abode

Reid’s blue and green nursery is a collection of old and new.  The outfit I came home from the hospital in as a baby hangs framed on the wall, an antique rocking chair sits on the floor, and in the corner is the chair my best friend and I painted in seventh grade.  The wrought iron crib, a big comfy chair, and the changing table were all new purchases.  One of my favorite things in the room are the canvas silhouettes my mom painted of my husband and me when we were children.

Le Petit World Traveler

To create a relaxing and welcoming space for our little one that reflected a life of traveling and discovery (those from the past and those to come). I wanted to incorporate objects from around the world as well as books from my childhood (in Spanish) and accents from Brussels (my husband’s home town). As we often have family/friends visiting from overseas it was a must to have a daybed! We love the one we found and the six large storage baskets underneath will surely come handy for toys, linens and diapers.

Baby Will’s Nursery

We wanted to create a beautiful nursery for our Baby Boy Will!  Something that was soothing / calm, yet vibrant…sophisticated, but not overly mature.  We used soft colors with bold accents (hello zebra rug!) to achieve this.   Living in NYC, space is tight, so we had to be creative to fit all of the must haves in his room.   Keeping the furniture light in color also helped the room to feel more light and airy.

Mason’s Blue Oasis

I just love today’s featured nursery. It’s high style on a smart budget! Tacoma, Washington mother Adrienne wanted to achieve the look and feel of a Serena & Lily designed nursery but was determined to do it for less. By tackling a few DIY projects with the help from her mother and her keen eye for stylish finds, the finished nursery is beautiful, fresh and a family affair. Two month-old Mason will be enjoying his fabulous blue walls, splashes of orange and touches of modern for many years to come. Here are all the details on Mason’s Blue Oasis.
