Woodland Garden Party

Ashley loves all things modern, clean, and floral. Once she knew she was having a boy, she instantly decided on a woodland animal theme for Hudson’s nursery. Once it came down to planning her baby shower, we obviously kept with the woodland animal theme. Since the shower was in March though, we incorporated a lot of flowers and spring themes. Most of the decorations were things I already had as decorations throughout my house and some odds n’ ends I picked up at Target over time. I found some little woodland animals (deer, fox, raccoon, rabbits, etc.) and painted them all a chalky white color. we bought fresh flowers the day of and put them in vases and had a flower crown station to make your own! To go with the clean, woodland theme, I bought bamboo plates and wood silverware off amazon. Co-host, Bess, made some of the chalkboards. Another hostess, Kate, made the yarn backdrop and I made the moss monogram. For games we had a yarn game to guess ashley’s belly size and an area to write encouraging notes on diapers. I made a naked vanilla cake and frosted sugar cookies along with other yummy finger foods-turkey and cheese sandwiches, s’mores trail mix (marshmallows, chocolate chips, and honey grahams cereal) and Bess brought spinach dip cups. The drinking straws and straw name tags were easy pick ups from hobby lobby, but the perfect details!
