A gender neutral nursery with a modern polka-dot theme done in mint and beige.
I wanted a modern, gender-neutral room without your typical “boy” theme. Koen is almost two now and I finally got around to posting these photos! A few of the photos were taken before I had all the elements to the room, but you get the idea. :)
Our intention with the design of our first child’s nursery was to create a room that could grow with him. We didn’t want it to be too ‘baby’.
Both my husband and I have grown up on the water and enjoy all the activities that go along with that lifestyle. We wanted to reflect our love of offshore fishing and the nautical lifestyle. Unfortunately, the majority of nautical themed nursery items are sailboat related. Although we appreciate the beauty of sailboats, our families have never been into sailing as a hobby. Creating a space that reflected our boating and beach lifestyle, required a little more creativity on my part.
A vintage modern travel nursery for my son Ellis. Full of color, pattern, vintage pieces, modern accents, and personal touches. It is a welcoming and fun space where I am reminded of great past adventures and can’t wait for new ones with the little man!
I had previously created this yellow girly jungle nursery for my daughter. We have since moved and left the yellow girly jungle behind.
Our new home has a much bigger space to transition Ava’s nursery into her toddler room.
Many of the same elements are still being used, we have updated her crib and we have added new element to her little girl room.
A gender neutral nursery with pops of color and patterns.
A classic styled nursery that is comfortable and simple.
My artist mother – lyndahwrightfineart.com – and I sketched out silhouettes of Peter Rabbit and his garden, then I painted them. I wanted something clean and modern but sweet, fun, and ‘gender neutral’ for our surprise baby (girl!).
I wanted a calm and pretty nursery for my daughter that was girly without screaming PINK!
Pink and yellow nursery made with lots of love. Many things in the nursery were custom made by family.
Striped grey walls set off the lime and bright blue accents throughout the room, while the white furniture pops off of the pewter walls. Trees flank the crib nestling it in on the wall. Hints of owls through out the room for my little hoot.
Kalia’s nursery was not completed until she was about 7 months old. We moved when she was 3 months old, so I nested for nearly 15 months before I could start decorating! The room is filled with many DIY projects, pretty much the only things I did not alter were the crib, rug and the glider.
The perks of living in the city! The space was an 8’X10′! We needed to convert that into a pretty, romantic princessy nursery for Baby Beatrice, born after a number of years of trying. So we did. The results are absolutely lovely!
I needed to create a serene and calm space for the 2 girls. The house is decorated very traditional so I was going for decor that will blend in with the rest of the home. The room wasn’t too big either.
My goal was to transform my son’s gender neutral Nursery into a more feminine space by giving the items we already owned a facelift.
My husband and I wanted to give our baby a fun, colorful, (budget friendly) room, that spoke to both boy and girl, since we weren’t finding out the gender of our baby till he or she was born. Looking at the finished product that took us months to achieve, we happily succeeded. We hope our little Nicholas is as happy with the room as we are. :)
My husband just had to have a blue room for our first born–a boy! I wanted something that was not theme-specific and that could grow with Liam through the years.
A nursery for our first baby girl!
