Black + White + All the Colors Gender Neutral Nursery

While I was pregnant, my husband and I decided early on to wait until our baby’s birth to find out the gender. Because of this, deciding how to decorate a nursery was a bit of a challenge. Neutrals are great, but being someone who loves color and lots of it, I knew an all white and gray nursery wasn’t for me. I decided to decorate the nursery in black, white, and grey with lots of patterns and textures and throw in the whole color wheel to brighten things up.

It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

For our son’s first birthday, which is in October, I wanted a Halloween theme, but also something cute, not creepy. So I picked “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!”. The main colors are yellow and black chevron and white and orange polka dots. Pumpkins were everywhere! Pumpkin balloons, pumpkin beach balls, pumpkin decorating! Pumpkin coffee, cupcakes and candy too!

Grayson’s Modern Grey, Navy and White Nursery

When we found out we were pregnant I already knew regardless of having a boy or girl we would have a modern and neutral nursery filled mostly with greys and white with elephants. If it was a girl, we would have added coral for a pop of color, but when we found out we were having a boy, it was all about adding navy.  I loved every minute of planning the nursery for my sweet boy and it ended up being perfect!

Pink, Mint and Gray Baby Girl Nursery

We are preparing this pink, mint and grey nursery for our baby girl, due in October. I wanted to create a special room that felt peaceful and beautiful. I love soft, pastel colors and wanted to give her a space she could grow into. I decided early on that I would not have a “theme”, but rather a color scheme and overarching ideas of what I wanted the room to feel like. Within the light gray walls you’ll find different shades of pink and mint with gold accents running throughout.

Bright & White Big Girl Room

When we moved into a new home recently it was the perfect opportunity to trade in our daughter’s nursery for a “big girl room”. I wanted a cheerful and bold space for our colorful girl, but I also love fresh, bright rooms, so decided to go with a white backdrop and add happy punches of pink, turquoise and yellow. This room just makes me happy every time I walk by, and I love how it reflects the fun personality of our little girl.

Dreamy Vintage White Nursery

A dreamy vintage white nursery was my hope for our third baby. I knew I wanted to use special keepsake items from both my childhood and my husband’s no matter the sex of the baby. A grey and white color combination was the perfect base in creating the calm atmosphere I craved. This being our third child I wanted a serene place for the two of us to connect and enjoy — away from the hustle and bustle of a house full of giggles and two-year old temper tantrums. I wanted to keep the nursery simple yet full of special personal details.

Farida’s Peach and Mint Nursery

I’m an interior designer so naturally I started designing my baby’s nursery ever since I found out I was pregnant, I was researching ideas all day and trying to track down items that I had seen online and liked. The thing that took the majority of time and effort was the mural decal wall. It was labour intensive and I had to work on it with my two sisters and their friend (they did all the work really).
The room was “done” in loose terms when Farida arrived in all her glory and all of the little items, photos, frames, etc were all added in very recently right before her 1st birthday and the room is finally picture worthy, at least to me and I’d love to share it with you
