Wall mural

Our nursery was designed largely around the beautiful mural wallpaper that we found at anthropology. We tried to keep the room looking whimsical and forest-inspired. The bright green paint complimented the mural and brightened the room. We didn’t want the furniture to be too matchy, but we were thrilled with how the natural wood crib (restoration hardware) looked with the white changing table (restoration hardware) and bookcase (built by grandpa). We finished with pink details to bring a bit more femininity to the space.

I began designing my son’s nursery around January 2010 and completed it just in time for him to arrive in March. It was my first experience completely designing a room and I became addicted always trying to add even more to make the room just that much more special. His room was really small, so I did my best to maximize space.

This is my son’s big boy room! After several air plane rooms (in our past 2 homes) I decided to go a little more neutral with the theme. He likes so many things, so I wasn’t planning on a mural but when I saw a similar mural on HGTV’s Design Star I thought it would be perfect. Once I showed him the picture, he was really excited. I added a bit of Star Wars in his sheets and a few paintings I did on canvas above his desk- those were a surprise and he was thrilled with them!

Alyssa’s parents asked me to paint a whimsical princess room for their little  girl.  The colors of the castle were painted to match her pink and brown bedding.

A preppy, pattern filled traditional nursery.

Our labor of love.  Took about 3-4 months to complete. Designed, drawn and painted by my wife and I.  And remember, were not a design company or party planner, we also took all the pictures ourselves.

Eco-Organic Nursery

Simple yet sweet. Forest animal bedding with a tree mural.

This is my baby’s nursery. :D We wanted to go with a cartoony,FUN, fairy garden theme. All painting was done by my Husband and myself. ( Mostly me! ) It may be a little amateurish but it was so much fun,fit very well in budget, and we are so proud!
