Colorful Owl Nursery

This is a second, more colorful take on Landon’s original nursery ( http://projectnursery.com/projects/baby-landons-owl-nursery/ ).  We spent his first year sharing a room at my parent’s house, and when he turned one we moved into a place of our own!  I kept most of the same things but changed and added a few things.
In the original nursery I really wanted to use a bright, fun paint color for the walls but it didn’t really work with the decal I chose.  So in the new nursery I made sure to chose the paint color first and the wall decal second.
Basically, it is his original nursery perfected :)
(I also included pictures of his bathroom decor since it’s connected to his room and it goes with the theme.)

Asher’s serene nursery

This room has a lot of things that have meaning to them. The tree wall decal  is my favorite piece in the room. Our daughter was stillborn at 27 weeks in November 2011 and I really wanted to incorporate her in to the room. I love the saying in the Notebook, if you’re a bird, I’m a bird so this tree with the pink and teal birds were perfect. I added scrapbooking stickers to spell out their names. At 26 weeks, we found out that Asher has a severe heart condition. We ended up going to Houston to have a fetal intervention done and we kept saying that the stars were aligning for him so that is where all the stars come in to play.

Green & White Boy Nursery on a budget

I knew I didn’t want a blue room for my son because I am tired or stereotyping. And trust me, if I had a girl, it would still be green and white with pops of other colors, never pink & purple. We have very high ceilings (12′) but the room is rather small, so we went with white walls and used bright colors on accessories, such as curtains, floor mat, table, wall decals etc.

Ashtyn’s Owl inspired DIY Nursery on a Budget!

Nursery on a budget! I was laid off last October and knew we couldn’t spend much on the nursery.  Searched this site, etsy, and pinterest for ideas that I could do myself to give the new little guy his own space.  Not sure when I developed my love for owls but I heart them!!  Tried to not go overboard but with friends and family contributing as well, there is no shortage of owls :)
