Airplanes have a long running history with the men in our family, so as soon as we found out we were expecting a boy, we wanted to highlight our love for airplanes and flying.  I’ve also always loved using wallpaper in a room, but wanted a new and unique way to feature it.  We chose to use 2 panels of a removable wallpaper for the center of the wall and framed it with molding.  In the future, as our family grows or our sons interests change, we’ll have the ability to change the wallpaper highlight in the center to give the room a whole new feel.

I had so much fun with this project.  For me, it was quite a challenge to balance a chic modern feel with a masculine touch while still staying baby-friendly.  We wanted something to reflect our values and personalities and I think we achieved that with this space!

A classic nursery that combines both nautical & travel inspired elements.  Not wanting anything too theme specific, we incorporated coastal & travel components into one cohesive nursery using muted shades of blue and gray, natural wood tones, & mixed metals.

Being the first baby of two surfers, it was inevitable that Eva’s nursery would be inspired by the sea.

My husband and I are having our first baby in October.  We just moved into a new house, giving us a blank canvas on which to build the perfect nursery for our new baby girl, Charlotte Cecile.

I decided to use an airplane/travel theme for my son’s second birthday party.  I wanted to use a more vintage airplane style so I chose the color scheme of red, sky blue, and different shades of brown.

Here is August’s Nautical Nursery. Mostly hand-made and DIY projects collaborated to make this nursery come together!

This is for our little girl that is due in June.  I created a travel theme nursery with mostly grays, blues, and whites.

I had no real plan for this nursery when I started out beyond liking gray and orange.  The first item I purchased was the cow rug and the rest of the room kind of evolved from there.
Many items in the room were repurposed.  For example, the dresser and chest were my mom’s when she was a little girl, just repainted with new hardware. Likewise, the suitcases were already in the guest room. I had actually just moved them out of the way when we were positioning the crib and they ended up staying there.
We had originally planned built in bookcases but as my due date neared and my nesting reached critical levels, we opted for the plumbing pipe shelving for the sake of speed.  Once installed though, I couldn’t be happier with the choice.

Travel the world in color was the inspiration for our gender neutral nursery. When we got started on the project, we didn’t know if we were having a boy or girl. Even after she was born we wanted to to stay bright but neutral and avoid the more gender specific colors.

Over the course of about two months I collected pieces for this nursery and put it together for our little girl’s arrival on December 1st! To be honest, all I pictured was a lot of bright colors and a world traveler theme, and other than that there was no plan! I just always tell people to buy things you like and then it’ll all come together when you’re decorating! I think it’s more fun that way.

I designed this gorgeous travel safari baby shower for a special little baby named Noah. Mom wanted this dessert table to be unique and wanted it to represent baby Noah. This table was designed with love.
 

Vintage French meets shabby chic in this girl’s French vintage nursery!  Starting with Restoration Hardware, moving to art and prints collected from across the globe, adding in a touch of Anthropologie and West Elm, this ivory and blush modern vintage nursery is now one of my favorite rooms in our house!

My husband and I are expecting our first child in December and we wanted to create a transitional grey, white and orange nursery that was both modern yet classic.

I wanted to do something different and unique for my baby girl’s nursery.  I didn’t want the traditional pink, girly girl theme and I wanted something educational and fun – my husband and I love to travel so I thought a travel themed nursery was perfect!

We wanted a colorful place that portrayed our love of travel that we hope to pass on to our son.

We wanted a relaxing a peaceful atmosphere. What better place then our favorite, the beach!

My husband and I are both design lovers, and we wanted Sebastian’s nursery to feel like an extension of the rest of our home rather than a stand-alone, cutesy room.

I have been wanting to create a travel/world inspired nursery for a couple of years now, and was so excited to finally be expecting in order to do so! I have been collecting ideas (mostly on Pinterest) and have finally been able to put them to use.
