Feather Her Nest Baby Shower

Our Feather Her Nest is elegant and beautiful.  What a lovely way to celebrate a new mommy to be.  Includes a soft color palette of pinks and  a beautiful Moroccan pattern for the designs.  The Feather Her Nest printable collection is  perfect for  celebrating the upcoming arrival of a baby girl, baby boy  or gender  surprise as our collection is also available in multiple colors!

A Pastel Nursery for Baby Girl!

After we found out we were expecting we had to makeover our spare bedroom which was once home to our dirty hipster roommate, lol.  The floors were nasty and base boards were coming off.  My husband put in all new hardwood floors new freshly painted base boards and a fresh coat of paint (Cobblestone from Martha Stewart).  Now it looks like a beautiful little girl lives in there!

Gender Revealing Party

We threw a party to announce (and find out ourselves) the gender of our first baby.  (A boy!)  At our 20 week ultrasound, we had the ultrasound tech write on a piece of paper if it was a boy or girl and put it in a sealed envelope with the gender revealing ultrasound pictures.  I quickly took the envelope to a close friend to look inside and order a cake with pink or blue filling.  I’ve heard rumors of people taking the envelope to the bakery without someone looking and the bakery made the wrong colored cake or they lost the envelope, so I had a friend look at it to make sure it was correct.  At the party, I had a betting pool where people could bet $ on the date/time/weight of the baby when he is born.  There was an opportunity for people to vote on the sex and then I drew a name out of the correct boy/girl jar and they won a prize.  I had a couple baby pictures of me and my husband up, my pregnancy journal, and old wives tales on what the gender may be, available for people to read for fun.

Polka Dot Baby Shower

This is a baby shower I decorated (with the help of many volunteers) for some close friends. We were given the materials and vision and went right to work. We used pinks, greens, and polka dots to give a contemporary look. Instead of having a cake table we put cupcakes on each table in cupcake stands and glass pedestals. We attached balloon bouquets to the stands to create an elegant center piece. Above every other table hung a pom pom arrangement from wiring set up across the room (gym). At each place setting there was a Onesie place card. The inside of the place card was formatted to say: “Advice for the Mother-to-Be”. Underneath the Onesie place card sat a white favor box filled with mint candies. We tied a green or a pink ribbon around each box and added a baby feet charm for extra cuteness and detail.
