Superhero inspired 1st Birthday party
Given the timing of the baptism right before the holidays, it didn’t make sense not to work in a Christmas theme, so taking the inspiration from the Nutcracker, we opted for shades of pink and silver instead of more traditional reds and greens which gave our winter wonderland a more girly, whimsical feel!
Little Colby was turning two and his mom wanted a party based on his love for trains!

It’s a girl! Dawn and Brian’s family hosted a baby shower for all of their Massachusetts family and friends and wanted Sugar & Bow’s assistance for the party planning. We thought long and hard (about 30 seconds) and came up with an Owl and Chevron theme that we thought fit the parents-to-be perfectly. All of the guests were asked to bring along an unwrapped onesie to hang on the clothesline. At the end of the night Dawn and Brian picked their favorite onesie and the winner received a wine themed S&B basket. This amazing basket included a bottle of wine, Rosemary Wine Crackers, Cheese Straws, a heart shaped cutting board, two wine glasses, and a package of gold napkins. The dessert buffet included mini chocolate chip cupcakes with buttercream frosting and topped of with chocolate shavings, mini apple cider cake donuts, and an chocolate chip cake. At the end of the night each guest was asked to take a small purple chevron bag with an elephant (the theme of the nursery) sugar cookie.
We celebrated our sweet Beckett’s first birthday with a Red, White, & One themed backyard BBQ at our home.
Parker’s first word was “doggie” so I knew I wanted to throw him a puppy themed party. Everything available to purchase for a puppy party was not my style so I decided to make my own decorations and food. With a little help from Pinterest I planned a puppy themed party that was modern and tasteful.
Sandy toes and sunshine – the perfect way to celebrate a birthday! After meeting at the Central Florida Martha Stewart Dreamers into Doers event, Jennifer from Party Dreamz started to working on this “Beach Baby Birthday” piece. We designed a table setting and a dessert/snack table and picked the best back drop ever–the beach–to have our party. Thanks to Jill from Luecht Photography for photo-editing our pictures – a service she now offers internationally! Renee from Bees Knees Creative supplied the gorgeous cookies, and Debra from Titi’s Tutu’s the girl’s headbands and pink tutu.
My good friend Karrie moved way up north away from her friends not too long ago and started working on her 3rd child. She doesn’t have much of a support system up there, and was feeling a little blue that there wasn’t anyone to be excited with her about the new baby. We were thrilled when she decided to drop back down and visit! There had to be a “sprinkle” for her if no other reason to let her know how much she and the baby were loved. So it was entirely fitting that our event be all about “baby LOVE.”
A fun Valentine’s themed playdate party for my daughter + two of her friends.
