Ryan’s Sports Room

My husband and I are major sports fans, so we wanted a sports themed nursery for our little man. Once we found the bedding we did the decor to match. We were also on a pretty tight budget so most of the decor is DIY and most of furniture is used. We used chalk paint to spruce the furniture up. Our son isn’t really into rocking chairs, instead he likes to be bounced on the yoga ball to go to sleep. That’s why there is a yoga ball in his room. The items that aren’t listed were gifts or things we have had forever.

Warm Industrial, Restoration Hardware and Modern Nursery

When we found out we were having a baby boy I knew that I wanted to create a warm, inviting, unique atmosphere for our special little guy. I was inspired by Restoration Hardware but wanted subtle hints of sweet and masculine features to be incorporated as well. My objective was to maintain an environment that had more than just a baby feel, but even gave a warm feeling to whoever walked in.

Modern Sports Nursery

I wanted to create a modern space that was light and airy, non cluttered, yet made a statement. As this nursery was for our baby boy, I also wanted to incorporate a touch of sports into the room without it directly being themed “sports”. By choosing a neutral color palette of grays & whites and popping it with an emerald green, the colors seemed to create a comfortable and contemporary space.
