Sea themed Nursery for my baby boy
I wanted to create a room that was calming, inviting & evoked a sweet personality – just like our baby boy! It truly is a labor of love. Most people dream of their wedding dress/reception, I was the girl who always dreamt of being a mom & designing a fabulous, whimsical nursery! Photos except for the NY Wooden Art & Birthplace Wall all by Natalie Bray Photography (www.nataliebray.com)

We are doing a beach/sea theme.
A girly version of the ever popular boy nautical themed nursery. Crafted from authentic finds ….like 100 year old oars, real buoys, fisherman’s wheels and nets….her room came together and is ready to set sail!

We had a (modern) whale theme. I first found a Gap whale sweater, then a Polen O Pyret tee shirt and then a sailor hat on diapers.com. Banner, invites, thank yous, signs, cake, cupcakes – all handmade. I made mini whale tail cupcakes as favors, along with a blue candy bar, blue macarons & blue/dark chocolate covered pretzels. I had blue Jello centerpieces with plastic whales and shells in them. The crowning achievement for me was my cake!
After moving to Malibu, Ca, S. needed to move from a baby to a toddler room. We left some room for a future sibling (an extra crib and rocker), since any future children would be sharing a room with S.! Navy and white stripes, along with red accents keep the nautical feel.
