We had our daughter dedicated at church and wanted to celebrate the special occasion with our family and close friends. The decor was simple, and all DIY, but still made for a perfect lunch!

We bought a new home and our little one wanted a Princess room. We wanted to keep it simple yet fun for her. Most importantly, something that she can grow into. A lot of love went into this room. She helped pick out the majority of the big furniture pieces and bedding. Not bad for a 4 year old!
Hollyn’s room is a bright nursery accented by a bright turquoise wall and fun custom coordinating fabrics!
I wanted the room to be pretty, but playful. I knew I would be spending lots of time in the nursery, so I wanted it to be a room I would enjoy – it quickly became my favorite room in the house! There is a lot of lavender in nursery decor, but very little purple! When I found the purple sheets with the white elephants from Land of Nod I quickly grabbed them. Then the elephant theme came to life. My father-in-law and my husband painted the green stripes, which I knew I wanted from the very beginning. I found the purple ruffle curtains and various purple, green and elephant items along the way. But even with all the fun items I compiled for the room, something was needed to pull it all together. That’s where Grandma came in with the gift of a custom made quilt, which incorporated both the purples and greens and completed the nursery.
Given the timing of the baptism right before the holidays, it didn’t make sense not to work in a Christmas theme, so taking the inspiration from the Nutcracker, we opted for shades of pink and silver instead of more traditional reds and greens which gave our winter wonderland a more girly, whimsical feel!
I wanted Rylynn’s nursery to be totally unique. I’m not so into “themes” and I really loved putting the room together piece by piece. I wanted it to be bright and colorful and a room that I would enjoy spending time in. My husband came up with the design for the crib and built it, and my family came down for a weekend and painted the room and furniture in a single day. I love that my family had a hand in creating my dream nursery, it makes it that much more special for my daughter. I really love how it turned out and can’t wait for my baby girl to get here so we can hang out in here together!
This first birthday party was fit for the ultimate girly-girl complete with tutu favors, a custom pink drink, ruffle cake, pink desserts and lots of style! A custom party by Hostess to the Host.
For Sienna’s space, I wanted to do something you didn’t really see in nurseries and painted floors was just that. The perfect shade of mint with some white and coral stripes…I decided to DIY many elements in the room seeing we were on a budget. A coral ruffled lamp shade, a doily feature wall for that extra touch of girly, a embroidery hoop bow mobile, fake book jackets to match the nursery colors and some original artwork.
This nursery is a project I have been dreaming of for a very long time. I wanted to combine my favourite colour white with pretty florals and baby elements to make it the perfect baby girls nursery. Most of the nursery furniture was either DIY restorations or bought brand new from Ebay. My mum has also been hard at work sewing the bassinet quilt cover.
A romantic and and vintage room is her perfect spot to have sweet dreams.
This was a combined birthday party for my three daughters (4,4,2). They have always loved anything and everything circus so when we were deciding on a theme, I knew this was perfect! It’s a circus extravaganza with lots of girly twists, pink, ruffles and boas!
