Soft Pink, Gold and Ivory Shabby Chic Nursery

When we found out we were having a girl (we have a 9 year old son), I immediately wanted to go with soft pinks, golds, and ivory/creams for the her room. Which is crazy because I always said if I every have a girl I will never go with pink! And several months before I found out I was pregnant, I started liking pink. That should have been an indicator right then, but I was clueIess..LOL!  I was going to go with a princess type theme, but then changed my mind after searching Pinterest for different ideas. At first, the room was going to be more centered around the crown teester, but then I wanted more of a shabby chic and sophisticated nursery. Soft pinks with different shades of gold and ivory/creams throughout the room. I made her crib bedding (with the exception of the crib rail guard), flower curtain tie backs, personalized pillows(on the chaise), changing pad cover, and double sided door stopper. My brother painted my son’s old crib in a metallic gold/champagne. Also, I made a liner for the bassinet/stroller piece that will be her hamper and then could be used for dolls or whatever she would like! We removed the closet door and I went with the curtains instead. So happy with the way her room turned out!!!

Harleigh Brooke’s Bowtique

As a mother of two boys, you can only imagine how excited I was to finally get to buy pink for someone other than myself. I have always dreamed of pageants, playing dress up, pigtails and hair bows.  So I knew her nursery was going to be my main focus while I was pregnant. I spent almost 6 months on her room, and I love every aspect of it. I like to think of myself as a DIYer and I think I am creative. I love putting my own spin on things, and I LOVE Pinterest. So there are many Pinterest inspired things in her room.

K’s Sweet Nursery

We wanted to provide her with a space that was both sophisticated and fun, and that would easily flow with the color palette in the rest of our house. Being the DIY junkie I am, most everything in the nursery was either re-purposed or made with money saving in mind! It truly is easy to do a nursery on a budget! Including all furniture, lighting, all accessories, rocker, paint, window treatments, custom closet/changing station, hiring an electrician, and ALL project supplies, this nursery was done for well under $1,000. The best part is, the crib is convertible and all of the furniture can later be used in other ways around the house!

Paris Princess Soiree

For this party we wanted the dessert table to be reminiscent of a bakery in Paris. We choose macaroons of course! as well as a cake in the shape of the Eiffel Tower, decadent cupcakes, and yummy macaroons. We even dressed the birthday girl in a darling tiered tutu dress topped with a ornate custom head piece. A ornate frame held a custom sign made for the birthday girl and was center stage for her beautiful dessert table.
