Blush Pink and White Tropical Inspired Nursery

I had a certain vision in my head how I wanted my baby girl’s nursery to look like. It took multiple attempts at “getting it right” and executing my vision (as it always does for me). I knew I wanted to incorporate flamingos and rattan, but also love unicorns and wanted to incorporate those too without throwing the theme off. I wanted light, bright, and to use various shades of pink. My advice is take it slow, don’t be afraid to take things back until you get it how you want it. Don’t buy everything at once! I used social media and Pinterest for inspiration, and added my own personal touches!

The Posh Home Bright White and Pink Baby Girl Nursery Reveal

When I found out I was having another girl I was so excited!!   As an Interior Stylist and Lifestyle Blogger at The Posh Home I was overjoyed to start working on my youngest daughter’s nursery.  The nursery I designed for my oldest daughter is more shabby chic which you can see here.   I wanted to do something a little different this time.  I utilized some traditional and modern pieces for a more transitional feel.  My goal was to create a functional, fun, beautiful space for my daughter. I found this fun dresser that was in serious need of a new paint job at a local market.  I decided to paint it a light peachy pink to give the room a fun pop of color against the white walls.  The dresser is my favorite piece in the nursery!  We did wood molding painted in a bright white as an accent wall and painted the other walls the same white color to brighten up the room.  I found gold frames for above the crib and fun prints from Etsy which were an amazing bargain!  I went with a wood bead chandelier to add some additional light in the room in neutral colors.  I decided to layer a jute rug with my sheepskin rug to add some additional texture and comfort in the space.  I sewed on the trim to my curtains and was lucky enough to have my mom sew the crib skirt!  I loved this simple buffalo check crib sheet and thought it completed my space!  Hope you have enjoyed my nursery reveal!

Harper’s Floral Whimsy Nursery

When I found out I was having a girl, I knew I wanted to go GIRLY! After a very rough-and-tumble boy, I knew it was time for florals and pinks. My jumping off point was the gorgeous Jolie Wallpaper from The Project Nursery Shop. Heart eyes for days! I quickly decided that everything else needed to be fairly neutral with a very clean design and minimal pattern and wall decor. We wanted a very soft gray paint color with pops of gold and just a little bit of pink.
My favorite part of the nursery has to be the gorgeous wallpaper, but a close second is the super-sweet hand-lettered name wall sign from Six Eleven Co. A few other notes – I tried ordering several different more budget-friendly drapes, but ultimately landed with RH Baby & Child’s drapes, which were a bit of an investment for me (hello high ceilings!) but were SO worth it. They are amazing quality and block the light so perfectly during nap time.
I fell for the Babyletto Hudson crib long ago and think that it’s clean lines and modern look are perfect paired with the whimsical floral wallpaper.
I’m always looking for ways to stay a little more organized so the baby shoe organizer DIY was a fun project. Take a simple tension rod and small curtain hooks, spray paint them gold (if you like gold as much as me!) and hang your baby shoes for easy finding. Side note: the shelves above the glider were another easy project – bought them from IKEA and spray painted the brackets (originally silver) gold for a chic look.
What a fun project was for this to work on for our sweet baby girl!

Vintage/Country Chic Inspired Nursery for Sweet Baby Seda Marie

I have always had a passion for design and renovation so I bet you can imagine my excitement when I found out I was having a little girl. My taste is a blend of vintage/country chic and I knew that was going to be the theme of her room. Being that we ride and own horses and keep several in our back yard, I wanted to add a touch of “cowgirl” to her room without taking away from the luxury feel that I was trying to capture.
The day that I found out I was having a little girl I went to a local vintage shop on my lunch break and found a stunning birdcage chandelier. Once I found this piece I wanted it to be the theme that I designed her room around.
Since we purchased a 30 year old home in Las Vegas (that is considered old in this city), our home has a lot of work that needs to be done, and we have done a lot of upgrades and renovations, but this is the very first room that my husband completely stripped and I designed from complete scratch. Everything in this room was ripped out and replaced aside from the dry wall.
The floors are one of my favorite items about this room. We decided to go with a reclaimed barn wood laminate that is sold by Armstrong flooring. We have this same flooring in our living room except in the original barn wood, and we absolutely love it. So once I found that they sold the same flooring, but in a grey, I knew it would be the perfect fit.
Crown molding and higher baseboards will truly transform a room!
We created her shiplap wall with mdf board we purchased from Home Depot. This installation was very simple. We had Home Depot cut the board for us at 6 inches and we used a nickle for our spacing. I decided to fill in all the nail holes on this wall to go with the luxury feel I wanted for the room itself. We ended up framing her window to continue that farmhouse feel.
My husband made the closet doors himself. We used the original closet door tracks and added hinges to the top to try and create the barn door feel. Since these were barn doors, I left all the nail holes exposed to go with the “cowgirl” feel I wanted for the room. The building of these doors, hinges and handles cost us approximately $120.
Another focal point that I think helps tie this room together are her picture frames above her bed. When we did our pregnancy announcement, a friend of mine, Jenet Haley, took some stunning photos of two of our horses. We printed her shots in black and white and used them to fill the frames we purchased from RH Baby. Keeping the images in black and white kept everything feeling feminine.
We were lucky enough to find the perfect vintage provincial dresser on craigslist that we refinished in a grey and white and kept the original hardware. I found the mercury glass mirror at Home Goods and the two items worked out perfectly for her room.
Everything about this room is just perfect to me. I can easily say Seda has the best room in the house (as it should be). I had hopes to create a room for her that she could grow up in. I didn’t want a “baby” feel that I would have to modify in a few years. This room can easily be a baby’s room, a little girls room and a young lady’s room. Both my husband (the handyman behind it all) and myself, take a lot of pride in this room and spent many hours in here enjoying what we made before we welcomed our sweet baby girl.

Mad for Maddie’s Nursery

When we found out we were having a girl, I began shopping online for an inspiration. I thought a good starting point would be her bedding. I found a set I loved, but couldn’t afford (and I wasn’t so impressed with the quality of the samples), so I began searching for a set with similar colors. I found the Sparrow collection from Lolli Living, and just started to mix and match from there. Thanks to our parents, I was able to get a couple splurge items, but bargain hunted for the rest. The room we chose to become the nursery was once my craftroom, hence the chalkboard wall. One of our splurge items was the Anthropologie watercolor peony wallpaper. At $150 a roll, I got creative and just ran the one roll across the top of the three white walls and added beadboard wainscoting beneath. I was left with less than a foot of paper left, and just carried it in my purse to match up anything I saw and liked that I could incorporate into the nursery somehow.  I love the final product and am proud how well the nursery turned out without having to spend a fortune.

Chloe’s Dream Nursery

I wanted to design a sweet and unique nursery for my baby girl. I picked every single item we have in her room, the process was not easy and took months but gladly we were able to have it done before our sweet girl arrived. We first had the room walls white but decided that it was missing an extra girly touch and the pink wall was the perfect choice. The color is pink elephant from Valspar. Many items are from Pottery Barn Kids but others were more affordable finds from Home Goods, Target, Lowes, Ikea, etc. We are so happy with the end result and fell that the nursery is really Chloe’s dream room.

The Loveliest Nursery

We were the crazy folks who picked up and moved cities when I was 36 weeks pregnant. My gracious mother let us crash at her house while we sold one house and bought another. This meant that my firstborn’s nursery had to be put on hold. Fast forward four months into her life, and, goodness, creating the nursery was worth the wait! It’s currently the only completed room in our house, and that’s because it’s my favorite. This room–by far–has the most thought, articulation, and love put into it. The first time my husband walked into this room, he said, “Wow. It’s so white in here.” That little comment was music to my ears.

Girly Pink Nursery

Description from mother:
I guess just after having a boy for 5 years, I was ready for some pink in my life. I wanted her room to be soft and feminine. I love Disney and the princess fairy tale vibe, so I wanted to add a touch of a regal feeling in her room. That’s why I decided to on the crib crown. She is truly the princess in our house, and I wanted a big statement piece to show it. In the end I really wanted a classic and timeless girls nursery. Something she can look back at and not really date, because it wasn’t a trend or a fade. What’s special to us, hum, her handprints and her picture above her crib. Anything that captures those special little tiny moments that we will never get back. My life just needed a little girl in in.
