Ella’s Nursery
I designed every inch of this nursery. It was everything I pictured in my head down to the detail. I always dreamed of a bright white nursery with pink accents.

My daughter loves two things, Minnie Mouse and playing dress up, so I wanted to give her both for her second birthday. When we decided on the theme my thoughts went to a small children’s boutique in Paris so I knew she had to have one. I made space by clearing out the larger pieces of furniture in our living room and the two beds in my daughters bedroom. We used their existing dresser, brought in a velvet chair I had reupholstered and my husband made a clothes hangar fit for a children’s boutique. Their bedroom consisted of the dress up area where party guests could choose from pretty dresses & tutus, earrings and necklaces made by me and a selection of play heels, gloves and feather boas. A crystal chandelier adorned the corner stage area for photos. A vanity and stool that I refinished had a selection of play makeup and a handmade tutu chandelier hanging above. When stepping out of the boutique the kids were able to walk the runway into the living room where parents were seated and able to snap photos. The living room consisted of the brunch & dessert table which featured a white tutu skirt and mini Minnie cupcakes and pearl donuts. A variety of cookies and muffins and a two tier vanilla cake with a handmade flower Minnie topper. Touches of Minnie Mouse were used throughout the printables, decor, flowers and the desserts. 2 additional handmade chandeliers adorned the ceiling along with tissue paper pom poms hanging from strands of crystals and paper lanterns. The kids table featured Minnie inspired plates and individual wrapped gift boxes that had clip on earrings for the guests to dine in style. The tiniest of details like the pearl swags on the back of the chiavari chairs were adorned with bows and Minnie ears placed in the flowers. It was an amazing day for both of my girls and all their friends. Now every time my daughter sees Minnie Mouse she yells “My Birthday”
Vintage Chic Nursery for baby girl
Our client desired a romantic and serene nursery to welcome their first baby girl – yet they had the challenge of dealing with a low ceilings loft space.
After finding out that I was pregnant with a Girl, it didn’t take long before jumping right into decorating her nursery. I wanted to create a space that could grow with her, as well as would be calming, feminine and simplistic, all done on a very small budget.
Living in military housing, we were not able to paint any of the walls, so adding personality and character to a very blank slate of a room with white walls was a challenge. I knew that I wanted to go with a shabby chic feel, so my first step was to find a crib and furniture to set the mood for the base of the design.
Wanted to create a special room for our daughter with an antique shabby chic feel. Our goal was for the room to not be too “babyish” and to be something that can grow with her and include items she will appreciate when she is older.
A baby girl’s nursery featuring the color pink in a fun way, lots of second-hand furniture, DIY decor, and heirloom pieces. More details can be found on my blog: http://dualey.wordpress.com/2012/06/21/lydias-nursery/
We wanted a girly-girl nursery for our first daughter. I made the crib bedding myself and designed the rest of the room around the fabrics. The room is so bright and cheery! We love being in the room with our precious daughter.
We moved into a new home while I was 26 weeks pregnant. I knew instantly this room would be our daughter’s nursery. I loved the natural light flooding in. It was pumpkin orange when we moved in and we quickly painted it a soft pale pink. I wanted a calm peaceful space and a room our daughter go grow with.I have since added curtains and the wall above the crib is reserved for her newborn pictures (yet to be taken).
My husband and I decided that we hated the way her room looked before (wish i had pictures) so we decided to do a complete remodel. Our two year old got a new bedroom set, paint job, a few DIY and a tv. What more can a two year old ask for.
My daughter came up with a brilliant theme for her 3rd birthday–sprinkles! As soon as I heard it, my mind started racing. So Much FUN! Sprinkles were everywhere–in the decor, in the flower vases, and certainly in the food.
Three years ago, on my 27th birthday, I recieved the best gift ever when my little girl Annabelle was born! When I realized we both had a big milestone birthday this year I knew it had to be special..so we decided to throw a 3 & 30 party to celebrate with our family and friends

I dreamed up all kinds of ideas and my hubby worked really hard on completing my project list! I love how the room turned out and I enjoy sitting in there with my baby girl and rocking her.
